Fairview on Trawalla Pecan Festival

Moree turned on an absolutely gorgeous day for Fairview on Trawalla - held at our farm on the 31st of March 2007. The pecan trees and surrounding grounds are lovely and green - not a very common sight anywhere these days! The event promised to be a celebration of culture and community along with a little indulgence - and it certainly did deliver!

Chef Michael Dean and his helpers prepared a sumptuous banquet full of flavour and variety. Good wine, charming company and spirited frivolity complimented the fabulous food, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Sharon King of Moree was the winner of the Art Equity raffle - taking home a gorgeous Christine Johnson etching, valued at $2,400. But the big winner of the day was Fairview Retirement Village, which profited by approximately $20,000 from the various events of the day.

The organisers of Fairview on Trawalla would like to thank the wonderful sponsors and suppliers, without whom the day would not have been possible.
