Deluxe Chocolate Shortbreads 
Ingredients 
  • 60 g caster sugar
  • ¼ Cup finely ground pecans
  • 125g soft unsalted butter
  • 160g plain flour
  • 20g cocoa
  • Pecan halves for decoration

Optional
Approx ½ block cooking chocolate for decoration (melted) 

Method

Preheat your oven to 150° C.

Mix all the ingredients except pecans and cooking chocolate together to form a dough, knead well. Roll out to 15mm thickness and cut out biscuits with a round fluted biscuit cutter and press a pecan half into each biscuit.

Bake on a flat biscuit tray 15-20 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes on the tray then place on racks to cool completely.

When cool dip half biscuit in melted chocolate and allow to set.
